Woman raped

Adityapur (Jharkhand): A journalist allegedly raped a 40-year-old tribal woman in Saraikela-Kharswan district, police sources said today.

The woman lodged an FIR against Arvind Mishra, alleging that he raped her on Sunday night in Sharma bustee here, they said. She has been sent to a hospital for medical check-up, police said.

Meanwhile, the Saraikela-Kharswan and Jamshedpur Journalists Association demanded a proper inquiry into the incident. -- PTI
