Condemned

BANGALORE: Condemning the Railway Budget 2009-10 presented by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee for having allegedly done injustice to Karnataka, the Kannada Chalavali Vatala Paksha, led by Vatal Nagaraj, staged a “Beating the drum” protest demonstration near Bangalore City Railway Station on Sunday. The protestors alleged that a 25-year-old demand of connecting Chamarajanagar with Mettupalyam had not been fulfilled and there were no assurances about the Hubli-Ankola line. — Staff Reporter
