Girl allegedly criminally assaulted

NEW DELHI: A 14-year-old girl was repeatedly criminally assaulted by a neighbour at Sultanpuri in Outer Delhi. The police are yet to arrest the accused.

The victim told her mother that the neighbour first assaulted her in August last. Claiming that he had made an MMS of the entire act, the accused kept exploiting the victim physically by threatening to make the MMS public.

A couple of days ago, her mother sensed that something was amiss and asked her daughter, following which she broke down and narrated the entire sequence of events.

Subsequently, the matter was reported to the police. Based on the victim’s complaint and medical examination, the police have registered a case.
