Sikhs pray for rain

Hyderabad: Members of the Sikh community on Sunday performed ‘Ardas’, a special prayer, here at Amberpet to invoke god for good rains across the State. The prayer was conducted by Giani Gurbachan Singhji, Jathedar of Akal Takht Saheb, temporal authority for Sikhs across the world. The programme was organised in connection with the 414th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahebji. As part of the programme, the Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb, Hargobindpuri, Amberpet organised a “Vishaal Deewan.”
