Singapore: Swimmer Aaron Agnel D’Souza finished sixth in the boys 100m butterfly event as India could not add any medal to its tally on the penultimate day of the inaugural Asian Youth Games here on Sunday. D’Souza, who had won gold in 200m freestyle, clocked 56.65secs in the 100m butterfly which was not enough for a podium finish. He later qualified for the 100m freestyle final, finishing second in the first semifinals with a timing of 52.44s. In table tennis, both Bhandarkar Mallika Srirang and Kawle Charvi lost in the girl’s pre-quarterfinals. Mallika lost 8-11, 11-4, 6-11, 11-9, 6-11 to Sangpao Areeya of Thailand while Kawle was beaten 3-11, 8-11, 4-11 by Yang Haeun of Korea. India, being represented by 48 athletes in the Games, has so far won 10 medals —five gold, three silver and two bronze. — PTI
