YSR settles MP, bank unions’ row

HYDERABAD: The ongoing stalemate between the AP Regional Rural Banks Employees Association and Congress MP Manda Jagannath was resolved on Sunday with the intervention of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The Chief Minister advised the MP to change his attitude towards the employees of RRBs that were helping the government in fulfilling its promises to farmers and weaker sections. He assured the Association representatives that the government would examine their pending demands positively.

The MP had been at loggerheads with the bank union ever since he allegedly slapped AP Grameena Vikas Bank Uppunutala branch manager Ravinder Reddy.
