Bhopal: Lok Sabha’s Deputy Speaker Karia Munda on Sunday asked the newly elected MLAs to effectively use new tools of technology for seeking information and effective communication. “MLAs should have sound knowledge of parliamentary proceedings, rules and procedures. They must use new tools of technology for seeking information and effective communication,” Mr. Munda said while addressing the concluding ceremony of the two-day-long orientation programme for the newly-elected MLAs of Madhya Pradesh Assembly. He said it has been noticed that the people’s representatives avoid the role they are supposed to play. “They should have skills, capabilities, patience and discipline for executing the role assigned to them,” he said. More responsibility with RTIMr. Munda said with the implementation of the Right to Information Act, the responsibility of MLAs has increased manifold. He also advised them to give respect to the chair and learn about House rules and procedures.
