“No heinous crime in some areas”

NEW DELHI: Contrary to common perception, not a single case of heinous crime such as murder and robbery has been reported in some police station areas of Delhi this year.

“Of the 133 territorial police stations in the Capital, not a single case of murder has been reported in 37 police stations this year. Similarly, no case of robbery has been reported in 48 police stations and 17 police stations areas have not reported a single case of snatching. 126 police stations have not reported any case of dacoity,” said Delhi Police Commissioner Y. S. Dadwal on Saturday.
