Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s 2009-10 domestic senior tournaments will begin with the inaugural Corporate Challenge Trophy limited overs tournament in South Zone from Sept. ember 1 to 8. After a gap of three weeks, the Zal Irani Cup between Mumbai and Rest of India will be played at Nagpur from October 1 to 5. This will be soon followed by the N.K.P. Salve Challenger series at the same venue from October 8 to 11. Mr. N. Srinivasan, secretary, BCCI, said in a press release that the schedules for the inter-zonal Prof. D.B. Deodhar one-day tournament and the Twenty20 knock-out for the Muhstaq Ali Trophy would be decided at the Working Committee meeting. Schedule for other tournaments: Twenty20 Inter-State Zonal League: Oct. 20-25. Ranji Trophy Elite and Plate League: Nov. 3-6, Nov. 10-13, Nov. 17-20, Nov. 24-27, Dec. 1-4, Dec. 8-11; Dec.15-18 (only Elite). Plate League: Semifinals: Dec. 15-18 Ranji Trophy: Quarterfinals (neutral venue): Dec. 24–27; Semifinals (neutral venue): Jan. 3-6, 2010; Final: Jan. 11-15. Duleep Trophy: Quarterfinals: Jan. 19-22, 2010; Semifinals: Jan. 26-29; Final: Feb. 2-6. Inter-State Zonal one-day league: Feb.10-18. Vijay Hazare Trophy: Feb.22-March 1. — Special Correspondent
