Urdu teachers felicitated

VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Urban and Rural Teachers’ Association felicitated Urdu teachers and headmasters of Urdu schools in the district, here on Saturday. Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu felicitated five teachers, who won best teacher award presented by Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy in 2008-09, with a memento and a bouquet.

The winners of the award were Muqtar Jaha Muqtar, Abdul Munaf, M. S. Imam Basha, M. A. Rahman, and Naseema Begum. Similarly, four headmasters of the schools that achieved highest results in SSC-2009 examination were also felicitated. B. Pushpanjali, M. Janaki Rani, N. Nagalingeswara Rao and Yousuf Hussain were felicitated by former Mayor Mallika Begum and DEO D. Venkata Subbaiah. Md. Abdhul Haq of Arandalpet Urdu School in the city and Moinuddin Pasha of Bhavanipuram Urdu School were felicitated for their services in upgrading the upper primary schools into high schools.
