Focus on preventing crimes against women

VISAKHAPATNAM : The need for legal steps to prevent crimes against women rather than awarding punishment after conviction was stressed at a meeting organized by the Visakhapatnam district unit of All India Democratic Women’s Association at Vizag Journalists Forum here on Saturday.

The meeting was convened to observe the 16 death anniversary of Munikonda Satyavathi who had fought for women’s rights. B.Padma, city unit secretary of AIDWA presided over the meeting.
