Meena inspects lake

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Bharat Lal Meena inspected Kempabudi Lake along with Basavanagudi MLA Ravi Subramanya, here on Saturday. According to him, despite the lake being fenced stench emanated from it because of the mixing of sewage.
He directed the Chief Engineer (South) to write to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB) to take steps to stop the flow of drainage into the lake. He also directed the engineer to start de-silting work after that.
The commissioner also visited the “raja kaluve” in J.P. Nagar and oversaw the demolition of structures, which had come up on the main storm water drain.
