Rotary clubs’ presidents to be installed today

VIJAYAWADA: The installation of president, secretary and board of directors of Rotary clubs of Vijayawada, Vijayawada East and Sreedurga Vijayawada will be held at Aahwanam Kalyanamandapam at Kanuru on Sunday. President of Lok Satta Party N. Jayaprakash Narayan will be the chief guest.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, M.V. Prasad, immediate past district governor of Rotary district 3020, and G.V. Rama Rao, district director of vocational services, said that the Rotary was planning to construct a hospital and a home for HIV positive children in the city, besides providing basic infrastructure in government-run schools. They recalled the initiative taken by the Rotary to eradicate polio.
