Police fiat on cracker shop licence

Coimbatore: People desirous of putting up temporary fire cracker shops within Coimbatore City Police limits (including Podanur and Kuniamuthur police stations) for the Deepavali festival should send in their applications to the City Police Commissioner on or July 31.

A release from the City Police said that applicants should submit application in form 4 affixing court fee stamp for Rs 2, fee remittance challan for Rs 150, sketch/plan of the place of stock and business in six copies, property tax receipt of the building, if rented building, consent letter of the owner of the building recorded in a stamp paper denomination of Rs 20 with two witnesses and their address, in case of Corporation or other department buildings, consent letter from the department head, fee remittance receipt for licence from Corporation/local body.

Applications received by 5 p.m. on or before July 31 with thedocuments alone will be considered.
