Governor N. D. Tiwari lauds K. Rosaiah for being one of the longest serving finance ministers in the country while releasing a documentary film on his achievements
BIRTHDAY BOY: Minister for Finance K. Rosaiah and Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday. HYDERABAD: Governor N. D. Tiwari lauded K. Rosaiah for being one of the longest serving finance ministers in the country and for helping Andhra Pradesh achieve a record of neither taking an overdraft nor even availing ways and means advance. He was speaking after releasing a documentary film titled ‘Arthika Ratha Sarathi’, on Mr. Rosaiah, made by Lakshmipati Productions, to mark his 77th birthday on Saturday. The Governor recalled how the Finance Minister had steered Andhra Pradesh to the largest-ever development budgets in the history of any State, by touching the Rs. 1 lakh crore mark. The septuagenarian was a role model for every young politician, he said. Responding to the Governor’s compliments, Mr. Rosaiah said Mr. Tiwari had the distinction of having been the Chief Minister of the largest State in the country (Uttar Pradesh) and also youngest and one of the smallest (Uttarakhand). He cut a cake in the Raj Bhavan to mark the occasion. Documentary filmmaker T. Lakshmipati has produced over 170 films in about a decade-and-a-half and has received 12 Nandi awards thus far.
