VIJAYAWADA: K.P. Prasanna Rao, Assistant Director, Small and Medium Scale Industries Department, Government of India, has said that an awareness meeting will be held for unemployed boys and girls to inform them about self-employment opportunities being created for them by the Central Government. The awareness meeting will be held here at Autonagar Technicians’ Association Hall on July 6. Various industrialists, bank officers, executive directors of SC, ST and BC corporations will address the meeting. The officials working for industrial centres under the government programmes are also invited to share information on their schemes and programmes. Mr. Rao on Saturday said that the government had introduced many schemes and programmes to create self-employment opportunities and also help these unemployed youth to transform into industrialists. He informed that awareness campaigns were being launched in various cities to attract young people’s attention to these chances. Mr. Rao said that already a meeting was held in Hyderabad where efforts were made to reach out and meet the needs of young entrepreneurs. He appealed to young people to make use of the opportunity.
