SIVAGANGA: Selva Vinayagar Middle School, Kothamangalam, which is run by MR. Omayal Achi MR. Arunachalam Trust, has been upgraded as a high school. In a press release from the school, it has been state that the school was established in 1932 and was taken over by the MR.AR. Educational Society in 1983. It was among the very few aided schools that introduced activity-based learning, a boon to village children. Though the 9th and 10th classes should be on self-finance basis, in keeping with the goals of the parent Trust, no fee was collected from students.
