VISAKHAPATNAM: To foster harmony and spread the message of universal brotherhood in the wake of the 26/11 terrorist attack, Dilpreet Singh Bindra, an employee of Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, is on a month-long India tour in a car. The car decked up with messages of peace and slogans, recalling the incident of 26/11, went around the city on Saturday. “The main aim is to evoke the spirit of the Taj group across all Taj hotels in India and pay a tribute to all those who lost their lives in the gruesome incident and salute the spirit of the Taj employees of Mumbai who stood firm against terror,” Dilpreet Singh Bindra said here at a press meet.

Long journey

His journey started on June 20 from Delhi and he has covered Rajasthan, UP, interiors of MP, West Bengal and Orissa before coming to Vizag. From here, he will move further south and finally terminate his 12,000 km journey in Mumbai on July 23.

“The kind of support I have received not only from the Taj employees but also the layman on the streets is overwhelming and has touched me deeply,” he said. At every destination, the associates of the hotel jot their thoughts in the message book. A poster with the signatures of general managers at all Taj Hotels in India will be handed over to the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai as a symbol of unity and support.
