Boy dies

TAMBARAM: A 16-year-old boy died on Thursday, three weeks after he consumed poison at his house in Moovarasampettai.

Madipakkam police said Vinod Kumar, a Standard X student at a government school, had consumed insecticide on June 14 after he was reportedly scolded by his parents for not studying properly. He was admitted to Government General Hospital in Chennai where he died on Thursday.
