195 cases booked

The Legal Metrology Department inspected various shops and trading firms in the district and booked 195 cases during last month.

The cases include seven against petrol bunks that were delivering less than the actual quantity and not going for verification in time, three cases against kerosene dealers, 21 cases against ration depot dealers for under weighing, 12 cases on traders for selling rice bags without giving the statutory information on the bags, 16 cases against autorickshaw drivers for non-calibration of meters and 13 cases against banks.
