Residents’ forum to conduct medical camps

KOCHI: The Ernakulam District Residents’ Apex Council (EDRAAC) is gearing up to meet the monsoon. As a first step against the epidemic threat, the apex council will organise 100 preventive medical camps.

Medical camps are being planned region wise. The Aluva region has already conducted 20 camps till now. These camps are being organised in association with the department of health, said A. Ajithkumar, secretary, EDRAAC.

An open forum will be conducted on addressing the issues in cooking gas distribution at conference hall of the collectorate on July 9. Representatives of oil companies, distributors, officials and residents’ association representatives will attend the meeting to be held at 11 a.m.

Also the adalat for taking complaints under the District Administration and Residents’ Association for Timely Solutions will be held at the same venue on July 13. These meetings were finalised at the discussions held by EDRAAC officials P. Rangadasa Prabhu, A. Ajithkumar, D.G. Suresh, V. Subramanian, Abdul Rasheed Haji and T. S. Madhavan with M. Beena, District Collector. An awareness class will also be conducted for residents associations.
