JAIPUR: The Indian Embassy in Doha has identified nine persons from Rajasthan who were the victims of the ship tragedy which took place off the coast of the Qatar capital on Tuesday. Altogether there were 19 Indian nationals on board the ship named “Dimesh Victory” out of whom only three could be rescued, the embassy said in a communication to Rajasthan Government. The information follows initiatives by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot who had contacted Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor seeking details of the victims and support from the Indian Mission in Doha. Quoting friends of the victims, the embassy sources identified the names of victims from Rajasthan as Shaukat Jafar, Mohammed Ameen, Abdul Hakim, Ramzan Umar Khan Shaikh, Mohammed Mojammil Hussain, Mohammed Shakeel Nirwan, Mohammed Rafiq Zamadar, Mujaffir Hussain and Maeen Nazir Khan Parihar.
