Panel slaps notice on KSPCB

Bangalore: Taking note of a report titled “Health officials charge pollution control board with double standards” that appeared in The Hindu recently, the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission has sought an explanation from the board. The Commission has asked the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board’s Member Secretary to explain within a month on why the board had exempted some private hospitals from setting up treatment plants.
