THANJAVUR: Passing out parade for grade two police constables who underwent four months training was held at the Armed Police grounds here on Friday.

S. N. Seshasayee, Joint Commissioner of Police, Chennai North Zone, reviewed the parade and took the salute.

One hundred and eighty eight constables passed out. Sampath Kumar, Superintendent of Police, and Annadurai, DSP, were present on the occasion.

Mr. Seshasayee said that normally training was completed in six months. But within four months, the constables had learnt all the aspects of the training and passed out. “I appreciate you for this, he said.

Serve with compassion

He also advised them not to misuse power but serve people with compassion.

“You will be posted at various stations in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts for a month. Then you will be shifted to batallion and then to armed reserve and after that you will be given regular assignment. You should serve people with commitment and retire honourably,” he advised the constables.
