TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh united Teachers’ Federation has expressed its displeasure over the authorities concerned ignoring even the G.O issued at the instance of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy directing them to pay salaries to the municipal teachers through government treasury on par with others. The federation’s Chittoor district and the Tirupati unit leaders in a statement on Friday regretted that despite the Chief Minister’s directions that the salaries be paid to the municipal teachers through treasury under the ‘010’ Head, it was going unheeded with the result that they were not paid their salaries for the last three months much to their hardship. The statement said that despite all the talks about direct payment through treasuries to the municipal teachers under the G.O, there were no instructions so far to the treasury authorities to that end. The APUTF leaders also alleged that even the G.Os: 179, 300 and 405 also were yet to see the light of the day.
