12 expressions of interest for queue complex work Nine responses for study on proposed ropeway THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) will constitute a trust exclusively to mobilise funds for carrying out various development activities under the Sabarimala master plan. In a press release on Friday, the TDB said this decision was taken at a meeting of its functionaries and top government officials here. The TDB had invited expressions of interest from architects and planners to prepare the plans and layouts for various works proposed under the master plan at Sannidhanam and places such as Pampa, Nilackal and Erumely along pilgrims’ routes to the hill shrine. Seventeen companies responded to the call. For the works relating to queue complex for the pilgrims, the TDB received 12 expressions of interest. And nine companies responded to the call to take up a techno-economic study on the proposed ropeway from Pampa to Sannidhanam, the press release said. The meeting also decided to set up an expert technical committee consisting of a reputed architect, a structural engineer and an environmental engineer to evaluate the expressions of interest received. This committee would complete its evaluations within a month, the press release said.
