Robbery bid

Chennai: An attempt was made to burgle a house at Anna University staff quarters in Kotturpuram on Wednesday.

Police said the domestic help of Gowri, a lecturer, came to work when she saw the main door open. She entered thinking that her employer had returned , but saw an unidentified man checking an almirah. The person saw her and ran away. But he managed to take away a couple of coin collection boxes.
