Rice, kerosene seized

KOCHI: The special squad of the District Collector on Thursday seized 11 sacks of rice and 450 litre kerosene found illegally stored in a shop at Ambalamedu. Two cooking gas cylinders meant for domestic use was also seized from a hotel at Puthenkavu on charge of their diversion for commercial use. The District supply officer has warned of similar flash inspections across the district in the coming days. – Staff Reporter
