Power shutdown

TIRUNELVELI: Power supply to residences and business establishments on all four car streets will be affected on Sunday (July 5) in view of the Sri Nellaiyappar Gandhimathi Ambal car festival.

In a statement, Executive Engineer (Urban), Tamil Nadu Electricity Board S. Pitchaimuthu said power supply would be restored to the houses and business establishments after the car crossed.

Another statement said the public can contact Executive Engineer at 94878 97062, Superintending Engineer at 94431 55198 and Chief Engineer at 94433 83524 in case of any problems due to fresh load shedding schedule that came into effect from July 1.

Tuticorin

For clarifications regarding unannounced or unscheduled load shedding in the district, the residents can contact the following officials of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board over phone.

The residents of Tuticorin urban can contact the Executive Engineer, Tuticorin Urban / Distribution (in-charge) on 9443833177.

The residents of Tuticorin rural, including Pudhukottai, Srivaikundam, Eral, Vilathikulam, and Kulathur can approach the Executive Engineer / Distribution on the same number 9443833177.

For Kovilpatti and the surrounding rural area, the residents can call Executive Engineer / Distribution on 9442372087.

As for Tiruchendur and its surroundings, the residents can ask for Executive Engineer / Distribution at 9944067171.

Apart from the contacts mentioned above, the residents can also reach Superintending Engineer on 0461 – 2324150 and the Executive Engineer / General on 9994878920, according to an official statement of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Tuticorin, issued on Friday.
