TIRUNELVELI: Three of the seven Government Siddha Medical College students, who were on indefinite fast for the past four days, were admitted to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital on Friday. As A. Siva Sathyaraj, M. Selvakumar and S. Vasanth, all fourth year students, became unconscious on Friday since they started fast on June 30. Meanwhile, functionaries of the MDMK, CPI and CPI (M) staged a demonstration at Palayamkottai in support of the students. Forty nine students including 21 girls were taken into custody late in the evening.
