‘KRV will not allow destruction of forests’

Karwar: The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) will not allow any industrialist to destroy the forests and environment of the State, vedike president Narayana Gowda has said.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, he referred to the Hanakon thermal power plant near Karwar and said that industrialists from other States encroached upon the State’s land and this led to the eviction of the people of the area.

The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike would not allow anybody to encroach upon the land of the State, he said.
