A special event for the differently abled
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Snehadeep Trust will organise a Sneha Musical Night, a special dance, music and mimicry programme by differently abled artistes, at 6.45 p.m. on Saturday.
The programme will be held at 64/1, Jeevanahalli Main Road, Cox Town, to commemorate Hellen Keller’s birthday and Louis Braille’s bicentenary.
Many film personalities and playback singers will be performing along with the differently abled artistes.
Aim
The objectives of the programme include creating awareness about the talents of the differently abled, giving a platform for them to showcase their skills, exchange of ideas, raising funds and recruiting volunteers for welfare projects.
The programme also aims to create an environment of acceptance of the differently abled among the general public so that they may be able to live a life of dignity in society.
The trust was established by three visually impaired graduates, Paul Muddha, K.G. Mohan and Narayan B.J., to educate the differently abled and create opportunities for them to become economically independent.
