India Cements in semifinals

Chennai: India Cements entered the semifinals defeating IOC (Mumbai) by eight wickets and a bonus point in a round-robin match of the all-India YSCA cricket tournament here on Thursday. R. Prasanna 77 not out (52b, 5x4, 4x6) sparkled for the winner.

The scores: IOC (Mumbai) 152 for nine in 30 overs (Udit Birla 41) lost to India Cements 153 for two in 20 overs (R. Prasanna 77 not out). Points: India Cements: 5, IOC: minus 1.

SBM (Mysore) 199 for nine in 30 overs (Amit Varma 55) bt Chemplast Sanmar ‘B’ 153 in 29.3 overs. (Anand Katti four for 22). SBM: 5; Chemplast Sanmar ‘B’: minus 1.

SBT (Trivandrum) 202 for eight in 30 overs (Raifi Vicent Gomez 64) bt IOB 192 in 30 overs (D. Pramod Doss 47, C.P. Shahid four for 22, C. Vinoth Kumar four for 31). SBT: 4, IOB: nil.

Rail Wheel Factory 136 in 28.2 overs (Sunil Kumar Jain 41) lost to Canara Bank, Bangalore 137 for six in 23 overs (Bharath Chipli 40, Deepak Chouyl 43 not out, Yogesh four for 28). Canara Bank 5, RWF: minus 1.
