CHENNAI: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and other Opposition parties staged a walkout from the Assembly on Thursday over the issue of a telephonic call made by a Union Minister to Madras High Court Judge R. Reghupathi. For the AIADMK, it was the third consecutive day on which it had staged a walkout from the Assembly. Immediately after question hour, K.A. Sengottaiyan, AIADMK whip, wondered why the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was maintaining silence over the matter when all other parties had expressed their opinion. G.K. Mani (Pattali Makkal Katchi), K. Balabharathy (CPI-M) and V. Sivapunniyam (CPI) urged the government to take action.
