BANGALORE: The Karnataka high Court has rejected a bail application of an alleged activist of the Indian Mujahideen, a banned terrorist organisation. The petitioner, Fakeer Ahmed, had moved the High Court after a Mangalore court had rejected his bail plea. Fakeer said the police had accused him of harbouring and giving shelter to several activists of the Indian Mujahideen and SIMI at his house in Hakalamane at Koppa in Chikamagalur. He said he is innocent of the offences registered against him and sought his release on bail. Opposing bail, the State contended that Fakeer was guilty of providing shelter to several terrorists belonging to SIMI and Indian Mujahideen.
