TIRUCHI: The Inspector General of Police, Central Zone and Commisioner of Police (in-charge), Karan Singha, on Thursday ordered the detention of four notorious anti-social elements under the Goondas Act in two different criminal cases. P. Guna alias Gunaseelan (32) of Woraiyur, who was involved in many murder, attempt to murder, kidnap and extortion cases, was recently arrested in connection with the kidnapping of one Balakrishnan, a city resident. Three more criminals – B. Chinnaraman alias Ramachandran of North Tharanallur, K. Palpandi and M. Mari, both of Madurai city, were arrested by the Gandhi Market police in connection with an attempt to kidnap Krishnamoorthy, a councillor. Mr. Karan Singha ordered the detention under Goondas Act.
