Vijayawada
Vijayawada chosen as venue due its high market potential Companies may give attractive offers to customers visiting the exhibition VIJAYAWADA: A unique shopping bonanza awaits city folks, as the “Lifestyle Consumer Exhibition” to be held at Seshasai Kalyana Vedika here promises to bring under one roof a wide range of products from leading companies in the country and the world. The “Best of India” exhibition, as it is called, will be held from July 3 for 10 days, every day from 10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the entry fee being just Rs. 10. The exhibition, which is being held in the city for the third consecutive year, features 120 stalls in a fully air-conditioned hall. The organisers of the expo are the RIVO, a Mumbai-based event management group. Giving details of the expo at a press conference here on Thursday, RIVO executives Vincent and J.K. Ranka said that they have chosen Vijayawada for their big event in view of the city’s rich potential in the sale of consumer products. They have been conducting these exhibitions in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Cochin and other cities. Their current expo will have on display products of electronics, computers, mobiles, furniture, interiors, exteriors, home appliances, FMCG products, fitness and hygiene, healthcare and beauty products, banking insurance and finance, automobile, builders, property developers and real estate. Considering the commercial and trade vibrancy in Vijayawada, the organisers said they were expecting good response this year too. During recession, consumer exhibitions and the offers given by companies at such event would help people make the best buy indeed, they said. The companies that would display their products include LG, Akai, Samsung, Videocon, Sony, Grasim, Coca-Cola, Yamaha, HCL, BPL, Nestle and scores of other top brands in the country. Mr. Vincent said there would be live demonstrations of various products by the representatives of various top companies at the exhibition. “It is a place where people can see, feel and buy the products. They can feel for themselves the quality of the products they are going to buy,” he said.
