Court dismisses plea of ex-MLA

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Thursday dismissed a plea by former Delhi MLA Ranbir Singh Kharb, accused of duping investors of over crores of rupees through a chit-fund company, to have facilities like TV and newspapers in judicial custody, as available to an ex-legislator.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R K Tripathi rejected Kharb’s application that he should be provided all the facilities, including television sets and newspapers, as are available to B-category prisoners. -PTI
