First chief of IDS dead

NEW DELHI: The first Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) P.S. Joshi, passed away after prolonged illness. He was 66.

Gen. Joshi was ailing for the last two years and was undergoing treatment at Indore and he passed away on July 1, a Defence Ministry release said on Wednesday.
