DEMAND FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE: Members of Tipu Sultan United Front staging a demonstration in front of the Gandhi statue in Bangalore on Wednesday against the irregularities in the Karnataka State Board of Wakfs. BANGALORE: Demanding that the Government prosecute members and officials of Karnataka State Board of Wakfs (KSBW) and District Wakfs Offices (DWO), activists of the Tipu Sultan United Front staged a protest demonstration here on Wednesday near Mahatma Gandhi Statue. Front president Sardar Ahmed Quraishi said that the board members and officials had committed serious crime by declaring notified wakfs land as private property belonging to late Bhawarelal and they were found guilty. He said land measuring two acres and three guntas belong to the Dargah Hazrath Attaulla Shah and Nabi Shah, Lalbagh. He urged the Government to prosecute the board members and officials who were found guilty in the CoD enquiry report for disposing of Wakfs Land in survey no. 18, of Annipura Village. The other demands of the front were to streamline the administration of the KSBW and DWO by issuing strict directions to the board.
