FP shops checked

Tiruchi: A flying squad of the Cooperative Department conducted surprise checks in 52 fair price shops in the district recently. Irregularities in the form of under weight, sale of essential commodities through fake bill and supply of commodities over and above the prescribed limit - all to the tune of Rs. 39,362 were detected.
