Confidence is necessary for achieving victory. Most of the achievers who have had a humble beginning could succeed in their lives by setting high targets. Develop right contacts at the right time, never fail to grab opportunities, and realise that those respecting parents and teachers are bound to succeed, Jayaprakash A. Gandhi, education consultant and career analyst, said on Wednesday, addressing the ‘Freshers’ Day’ celebration. Flawless EnglishCommunication skill has more to do with engaging somebody with a positive frame of mind alongside speaking flawless English, which could be cultivated over a period of time, he said. Reminding students that the decade starting from 2010 will be an era of innovation, Mr. Jayaprakash urged them to think differently. One has to be creative to be competitive, he said. Presiding over, P.K. Thiagarajan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Arulmighu Aranganathaswami Devasthanam, Srirangam, said that while pursuing their careers, students must perform their tasks realising their utility to the society. A cooperative attitude is a must for registering achievements, he emphasised. K. Sekar, Principal, said that right direction at the right time will stand the student community in good stead to sculpt their careers. Earlier, Mr. Jayaprakash honoured heads of departments in the presence of the Vice-President of the College Governing Council, Mothi S. Pattabhiraman; G.N. Srinivasan, Secretary, and M.R. Subramanian, Treasurer.
