YSR handing over city to MIM: Kishan Reddy

HYDERABAD: The BJP MLA from Amberpet, G. Kishan Reddy has charged the government with working towards the aim of handing over the city to the MIM party for political gains elsewhere.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy said that including Muslims in the Backward Classes will make them eligible to fight the municipal elections under the BC quota and this was a gift from Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to the MIM.

“It is the MIM that is ruling the city and they decide who should be the Police Commissioner, DCPs and other officials,” he charged.

He said the government was helping MIM leaders to go scot-free after attacking officials at their will.

The series of attacks on MCH officials, police and hospitals by the MIM and the government’s inability to take action against them even in one incident reflects its soft attitude.

Stating that the BC voters’ enumeration in the city was a farce, Mr. Reddy wanted to know how 28 lakh houses were covered by the employees within a few days.

“They finished the work in four days sitting in their offices and everyone is aware of it. Such fraudulent exercise will be detrimental to the interests of BCs in the municipal elections,” he observed.

Mr. Reddy also questioned the appointment of K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao as the head of the Advisory Committee Public Safety and Security undermining the Home Minister.
