Daughters’ Day

The Public Relations Council of India, Bangalore Chapter, on Wednesday, organised Daughters’ Day celebrations in commemoration of Kalpana Chawla. Meera Saxena, Principal Secretary, Department of Forests, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that many women, especially those in rural areas, still suffered silently. Tara, National Award-winning actor, felt that the day was not far when men would fight for equal rights. “A girl can achieve anything that she wants if she puts her mind to it.”
