Land sought at Nadargul and Medipally Executive Committee takes stock of resources HYDERABAD: To enhance its land bank for resource mobilisation, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has sought expeditious action on the matter related to lands already recommended for allotment and also those requisitioned. The issue was raised at the HMDA Executive Committee meet here . It was pointed out that land recommended by the Empowered Committee at Thimmaipally village, Keesara mandal and Shamirpet village was yet to be handed over to the authority by the Tahsildars concerned. It was also mentioned that the 165 acres land slice at Nadargul village was requisitioned and if that is allotted, it would be of immense help in mobilisation of resources. Among others, the lands identified for the purpose included 100 acres at Ameenpur village in Patancheru, 42 acres at Manneguda, 80 acres at Batasingaram Abdullapurmet, 30 acres at Amangal Hayathnagar and 35 acres at Piglipur. Another 116 acres of government land at Medipally village, Ghatkesar mandal abutting Warangal highway and near to the upcoming Infosys facility, was identified and the HMDA wants the same to be allotted to it. The EC also discussed the HMDA budget for the year 2009-10 with surplus of Rs.1.43 crore and revenue receipts of Rs.312.96 crore and revenue expenditure of Rs.253.38 crore. The meeting which was attended by GHMC Commissioner S.P. Singh, HMDA Commissioner K.S. Jawahar Reddy, HMWSSB Managing Director G. Ashok Kumar apart from D. Kishore and Navin Mittal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad district Collectors respectively, was told that the HMDA did not have sufficient land bank at present for resource mobilisation. Though certain lands were available, they were covered by court cases/litigations. “Therefore, there is a need to allot prime lands within the vicinity of Urban Agglomeration for generating requisite funds for this purpose,” it was mentioned.
