Delhi bureaucrat transferred

New Delhi: Despite Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit being keen to retain Delhi principal secretary (environment) J. K. Dadoo, the Union Home Ministry has transferred the bureaucrat to Lakshadweep.

Mr. Dadoo has been replaced by Dharmendra, a 1989 IAS officer, who was serving as Commissioner in the industries department till now. He has held various important positions in the DDA and the Urban and Development Ministry.

Ms. Dikshit was keen to retain Mr. Dadoo in the post till the completion of Commonwealth Games slated for next year.
