Lok Satta welcomes cooperative farming policy

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Lok Satta Party (LSP) was all for State government’s policy on cooperative or collective farming because productivity and production were not scale-dependent.

In a press release, spokesperson V. Vijayender Reddy recalled that while countries like Russia and China were forced to give up collecting farming, the productivity in small land holdings here was higher because of the care bestowed by the small farmer here. Productivity in the Indian context had more to with accessibility to and affordability of technology, he said.

Another spokesperson E. Chennayya said people’s welfare was the sole touchstone for their stand on any issue and not partisan views.
