KOCHI: Central Wakf Council secretary M.R. Haque along with officials of the National Informatics Centre will pay a four-day visit to the State starting July 4 as part of the Union government’s programme to computerise the assets registered under the State Wakf Boards. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, K.V. Abdul Khader, chairman of the Kerala State Wakf Board (KSWB), said the State board was in the forefront of the proposed digitalisation programme owing to its commendable performance. The KSWB was among the first boards to be selected by a Joint Parliamentary Committee for a probability study for the implementation of the programme, he said. The computerisation of the property of Wakf Boards was being undertaken by the Union government as part of its 100-day programme.
