Eight IPS officers promoted

CHENNAI: The State government on Wednesday promoted eight Deputy Inspectors General of Police as Inspectors General of Police.

Amaresh Pujari, DIG, Dindigul Range, is promoted and posted as IG, Training, Chennai. M. Ravi, DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Chennai, is promoted and posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Chennai. K. Jayanth Murali, DIG, Central Industrial Security Force, South Zone, Chennai, is promoted without prejudice to his deputation with the Government of India.

Karunasagar, DIG, Armed Police Chennai, is promoted and posted as Commissioner of Police, Tiruchi City. M.N. Manjunatha, DIG/Commissioner of Police Tirunelveli City, is promoted and posted as Director of Civil Defence and Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards, Chennai.

Christopher Nelson, DIG Special Operations, Refugee Camp, Mandapam, is promoted and posted as IG in the same place. A.M.S. Gunaseelan, DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Chennai, is promoted and posted as Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli.

S.S. Krishnamoorthy, DIG, Crime Branch CID (SIT) is promoted and posted as IG, South Zone, Madurai vice Sanjeev Kumar posted as IG, Headquarters, Chennai. G.Venkataraman on repatriation from the Government of India is posted as DIG, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, vice S.N. Seshsai, posted as DIG/Joint Commissioner, North Zone, Chennai.
