Naidu calls on party MLA at hospital

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday called on Kovvur legislator T. V. Rama Rao at Yashoda Hospital here where he was shifted by police from his fasting camp.

Mr. Rao who is a diabetic, commenced his indefinite fast on Monday demanding withdrawal of false cases of rape and murder against him and the CID inquiry ordered by the government.

Others continue fast

After spending some time with the TDP legislator, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu reached Indira Park area where Mr. Rao’s family members and the students of his nursing college in Nidadavole in West Godavari district continued their fast.

Mr. Naidu said the party would support Mr. Rao to the hilt.

It would continue its struggle till the State government withdrew the cases against the MLA and stopped political persecution against Opposition parties like the Telugu Desam.
